Firearms Training with the Fallout Shelter is fun, educational and above all safe.
Our courses will give you a base of knowledge. Increase your skill and safety and prepare you for the unexpected. Each firearms course is developed to meet the students needs and individual attention is given to each student.
Rich Ohm, Fallout’s head instructor and co-founder is a former police officer, who served as a jailor, communications officer, rural deputy, city police officer, part-time SWAT officer, and Detective. Rich now teaches full-time, teaching martial arts, self-defense, and firearms at our studio in Watertown, SD, and seminars around the region and the world. Rich is a half-time Pastor in Lake Preston SD and a full-time missionary.
Rich has completed over 2000 hours of instructor-level training, including adult learning practices, less-lethal, defensive tactics, carbine, shotgun, and handgun instructor courses, including NRA, Center Mass, and MCTC courses. He is an NRA-certified handgun instructor and SIG SAUER Academy Master Pistol Instructor. Rich has taught law enforcement officers at the State and Local level since 2002 and has taught over 10,000 citizens in firearms courses since 2010.
At Fallout, we strive to provide professional, up-to-date training, and we work to keep our skills up-to-date by attending training courses as often as possible, including defensive tactics updates, firearms skills, and teaching skills.
